The group set up on King George V Fields over the weekend, which is an injunction site.

Walsall Council got bailiffs to remove them on Tuesday morning, but they then set up on Bloxwich Park, two streets away.

The council has served a notice for them to leave the park and if they do not then the authority said it will apply for a court order.

Travellers have set up camp in Bloxwich Park, Walsall

A spokeswoman for Walsall Council said: "Walsall Council can confirm that an unauthorised encampment set up on King George V Fields at the weekend. This is an injunction site.

"Walsall Council engaged bailiffs and, with the support of bailiffs evicted the occupants of the camp this morning.

"The travellers then set up camp on Bloxwich Park, nearby. The council has served notice on the occupants to vacate the land with immediate effect.

"If they fail to comply with that notice, the council will make an application to the magistrates court for an order to enable us to evict the occupants from the site.

"The council is aware of the impact unauthorised encampments can have on residents and always gives these matters a high priority."
