Boy, 14, released after attacks on police
Police have released a 14-year-old boy on bail after a Police Community Support Officer was hit across the head with a rock and a police officer was punched.
The teenager was arrested by officers on Thursday on suspicion of assault and theft of a motor vehicle.
He was detained shortly after a PCSO had been hit with a rock in Walsall, after she had found a stolen motorbike dumped in Turnstone Road, in Blakenhall.
The suspect had escaped over nearby fields and was seen getting into a van but officers picked him up not far away on Slacky Lane.
While being detained, a police officer was punched in the stomach. The teenager has since been questioned by police.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "He's been released on police bail with conditions."
