Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man found with fatal injuries at house
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found with fatal injuries in Birmingham.
The 47-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in Bamville Road, Alum Rock, on Wednesday night.
His death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.
A 47-year-old woman was arrested from the same property on suspicion of murder and is in custody for questioning.
Police cordoned off the road and were still at the scene today.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a man was found with fatal injuries in Bamville Road, Alum Rock, last night.
"Paramedics were unable to resuscitate the 47-year-old, and he was declared deceased at the scene. His death is being treated as unexplained and forensic experts have sealed off the property for examination.
"A 47-year-old woman was arrested from the same property on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody for questioning.
"A post mortem examination will take place tomorrow to establish how the man died."
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.11pm on Wednesday 15th July to reports of a cardiac arrest in Bamville Road, Ward End.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car attended. Crews arrived to find a man in cardiac arrest. Sadly despite their best efforts nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead on scene."
