Police investigation over Walsall car crash disorder

Police are investigating reports of disorder after a car crash in Walsall, with a video of the incident circulating on social media.

A pregnant woman was taken to hospital as a precaution after the incident in Holden Crescent, in the Coalpool area, at around 2pm on Wednesday.

A man in his 20s was detained at the scene but has since been discharged.

West Midlands Police say they are aware of a video circulating on social media of the incident.

A spokesman for the force said: "We are investigating reports of a disorder following a collision on Holden Crescent in the Coalpool area of Walsall at 2pm on Wednesday.

"A number of cars were damaged in the collision and a pregnant woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.

"A man in his 20s was detained at the scene and taken to hospital to be treated for injuries to his face. He has since been discharged and enquiries are continuing.

"We are aware of a video circulating on social media which is forming part of our investigation.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is urged to contact us."
