A group of armed muggers demanded cash and a mobile phone from two people during a late night robbery in Cradley Heath.

Six men, armed with a hammer and knifes, approached the pair in Mary MacArthur Park on Sunday, June 14.

They demanded cash and a mobile phone from the victims then fled the scene.

It is believed to have happened some time after 9.15pm.

In a neighbourhood alert, PCSO Stephanie King said: "A robbery occurred on June 14 between 9.15pm to 9.30pm in Mary MacArthur Park, Sydney Road, Cradley Heath.

"Six offenders approached two victims, one person had a hammer and another a knife and demanded money and phone from the victims, they then made off on foot toward Foxoak Street."
