Walsall motorists praised after speed watch
Police in Walsall have praised motorists following a speed watch in the Black Country.
The operation found that more than 600 drivers stuck to the 30mph speed limit in Aldridge.
The operation came after officers received complaints from residents that drivers were excessively speeding.
However, officers found drivers behaving sensibly after monitoring the speed of vehicles travelling through the Northgate area.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Our road harm prevention team have been in Aldridge, Northgate area, this morning following a number if reports of excess speed by residents.
"Great to see over 600 vehicle were all complying with the 30mph limit."
