Man, 43, to stand trial after police car rammed
A 43-year-old man is to stand trial after a police car was rammed during a street chase.
A Vauxhall Corsa struck police before being found abandoned in Wolverhampton on Saturday, police allege.
Mohammed Khan, of Great Hampton Street, Whitmore Reans, has been charged with drink-driving, failing to stop, aggravated vehicle taking and driving while disqualified.
A pursuit began after police officers spotted a Corsa driving along Bilston Road, at 4.20am.
The force helicopter was also involved in the pursuit.
The stolen vehicle then allegedly rammed the pursuing police officers before it was found abandoned on Christopher Road. Khan and another man were arrested.
The other man was released by police with no further action.
Khan has been remanded into custody and will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on June 22 for trial.
