Boy, 16, stabbed after chasing suspected bike thief
A teenage boy was stabbed after chasing a suspected bike thief in Birmingham.
The 16-year-old had caught up with the suspect who was riding a grey and orange Voodoo pedal cycle around the Merritt’s Brook Lane area of Northfield at around 4pm yesterday. The bike was thought to have been stolen earlier that afternoon.
The teenage boy was taken to hospital where he remains, although his injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.
West Midlands Police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has CCTV or dash cam footage of the assault.
