Police warn car owners to be vigilant amid thefts spike in Wolverhampton

People have been urged to remain vigilant after a rise in car thefts in Wolverhampton despite lockdown.

Police officers have issued the warning

Officers in Ettingshall made the plea and asked people to attach any additional security to their cars – steering locks, gear stick locks or wheel clamps.

A spokesman said: "We are asking all car owners to be vigilant at this time.

"Whatever additional security can be added to your cars at the moment will go a long way to help."

Ford EcoBoosts are popular with car thieves and owners should be extra vigilant, police have said.
