Boy, 16, arrested for shocking string of offences after West Midlands car chase
A 16-year-old boy was arrested for a string of shocking offences after a car chase in the West Midlands.
The underage driver was pursued by officers from West Midlands Police's organised crime unit in Birmingham.
He tried to evade officers in a car before attempting to flee on foot, before he was eventually detained.
Officers arrested him on suspicion of six offences, which were: car theft, heroin supply, weapons, having no driving licence, dangerous driving and failing to stop.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The offences a 16-year-old is under arrest for, after a stolen car he was driving failed to get away from our pursuit driver earlier. He ran out of talent quickly but he couldn't run as quickly on foot."
