Man, 19, charged after victim seriously injured in stab attack
A teenage man has been charged in connection after a stab attack in Lichfield.
Nathan Michaels, aged 19, has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was found in Reynolds Close at around 11.20pm on Saturday.
He was discovered with serious injures and after care was taken to hospital for further treatment, said West Midlands Ambulance Service.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition on Monday, added Staffordshire Police.
Michaels, of Badgers Bank Road, in Sutton Coldfield, appeared at Newcastle Justice Centre on Monday.
He has been remanded in custody until an appearance at a later date to be set.
He was the the fourth person to be arrested in connection with the altercation.
Three people – who were originally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder – have all been released with no further action.
One of those, a 20-year-old man from Lichfield, was also arrested and released under investigation for an unrelated drugs offence.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "An investigation into the circumstances around the incident are ongoing and the 20-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition."
