Search for woman as three injured in Handsworth dog attack

The American pitbull-type dog bit three people in the park after getting free from its owner on March 8.

The dog has been seized and police have now released a picture of a woman they are trying to trace.

Birmingham Police shared an appeal saying: "We want to trace this woman after a dog got free from its walker and three people were bitten in Birmingham.

"The trio of women suffered leg, arm and hand injuries in Handsworth Park, off Holly Road, on 8 March this year.

"The American pitbull-type dog has been seized and we want to identify this woman who is suspected of being the owner.

"Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime. Quote crime reference number 20BW/62025N/20."
