Police carry out early-hours firearms raids in Walsall and Birmingham
Firearms warrants were carried out in Walsall and Birmingham in the early hours of this morning.
Officers searched properties in Warbler Grove, Walsall, and Wills Street, Birmingham, after receiving information about firearms.
But no weapons were found in either property and West Midlands Police appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers conducted warrants at properties on Warbler Grove, Walsall and Wills Street, Birmingham in the early hours of this morning following community information relating to firearms.
"Both properties were searched but no weapons were found and our investigations continue.
"We take information from the community very seriously so if you have anything to tell us please contact us via Live Chat on our website."
