In the footage a man can be seen shouting and swearing outside the Morrisons store in High Street, Burntwood, on Sunday.

In another video the man makes as if to throw/hit workers with an object as they walk towards him.

And in a third video a female worker gets in between the man involved and a male worker.

Lichfield Police posted on Facebook saying: "We are aware of footage of an incident that took place at Morrisons in Burntwood yesterday being shared on social media.

"We want to reassure members of the public that we are speaking to a man from the local area in connection with this incident and enquiries are ongoing.

"We would kindly ask that people do not speculate further as to his identity or the circumstances."

A Morrisons spokesman declined to comment.
