Appeal after armed robbery at Stourport store

Police in Wyre Forest have issued an appeal after an armed robbery at a Spar store.

The unknown offender entered the Spar Store, in Lower Lickhill Road, in Stourport, at around 9pm on Saturday armed with a knife.

West Mercia Police has now released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak and is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Inspector Lisa Duncan said: "The suspect is described as a white, probably in his mid-20’s with an average build and a local accent.

"He was wearing a black hooded jacket with white zip and either paint or plaster marks on the jacket.

"He was wearing dark coloured jeans which were workman like in appearance with grey pumps/trainers with a white sole.

“The suspect also wearing a blue hooded jumper underneath his outer coat with the hood up and a black balaclava/ski mask as well as orange grip handler style gardening or masonry gloves with black palms.”

Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information about the robbery, is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 599S of March 21.
