Police were called by the landlord of a house in Ardav Road, Hill Top, on Wednesday to reports of a cannabis factory in his property.

Officers found dozens of plants downstairs, in two bedrooms and in the loft space and are now trying to trace the tenants. A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were alerted on February 12 by the landlord of a house in Ardav Road, Hill Top in West Bromwich, to a large cannabis factory that had been established in his property.

"Officers attended to find roughly 180 cannabis plants downstairs, in two bedrooms plus the loft space. Enquiries are on-going to trace the tenants."
