Attempted murder arrest after man stabbed in neck in Birmingham
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck in Birmingham.
Police and paramedics were called to Staveley Road, Kings Heath, at about 1.20am today.
A man in his 20s had been stabbed in the neck and was taken on blue lights to hospital.
A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody for questioning.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We found a man with a stab wound to his neck after being called to a property in Staveley Road, Kings Heath, just before 1.30am today.
"The man, in his 20s, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
"A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody for questioning."
Jordan Eggington, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing at a private address in Kings Heath at 1.20am.
"We sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers and a Merit Trauma doctor to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found one patient, a man, in a critical condition.
"Staff administered advanced life support on scene before taking him on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
