Thieves raid Tesco Express in Shenstone
Raiders broke into a Tesco store in the middle of the night and stole cash.
Two people forced the roller shutters to get inside the Tesco Express in Birmingham Road, Shenstone, one brandishing a sledge hammer with a yellow handle.
PCSO Andrea Horsnall posted on Staffordshire Smart Alert saying: "At 2am on February 3, two offenders broke into the Tesco Express on Birmingham Road in Shenstone by forcing the roller shutters at the front door and attacked the cash registers, stealing an unknown amount of money.
"One male was wearing a red hoody and one was carrying a sledge hammer with a yellow handle.
"If you have any information or CCTV footage of anything relating to this incident, please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote log 29 of 3/02/20. Thank you."
A Tesco spokesman said: “On Monday a break-in took place at our store in Shenstone and we are helping the police with their investigations.”
