The hooded figure can be seen driving up to the Nisa Local in Beacon Road, in the early hours last Thursday.

Footage shows the man walk up the rear of the Nisa before disappearing out of sight.

He soon reappears with a crate of bread during the raid at around 2am.

Bal Singh, who has owned the shop since 2007, said: "He broke the lock to a back shed after seeing the bread wagon pull up.

"He stole two trays which is about 20 loaves of bread with some rolls and things.

"It has probably cost me £40 for the hose pipe and £20 for the bread.

"We've had thefts in the store before, but nothing like this.

"I was annoyed, really gobsmacked.

"It's not like the bread is worth much to him, he might've sold it on.
