One man has already been convicted and jailed following the brutal killing 12 months ago.

But police are still hunting a further six men after 34-year-old Mr Hussain, from Burnley, was ambushed and stabbed outside Golden City, in Central Drive, on December 4 last year.

Frustrations in solving the case prompted West Midlands Police to call an extraordinary press conference several weeks ago.

There Detective Inspector Jim Colclough and Yasir's brother-in-law Mohammed Azam made an appeal for fresh information.

Since then West Midlands Police has received a number of calls which could help detectives catch the remaining six suspects.

A force spokesman said: "We've had a number of calls since the appeal, however no arrests have been made at this stage. The investigation is ongoing."

Yasir was killed as part of a bitter family feud which had begun 12 months earlier. He lived in Burnley and was a father-of-four but was visiting family in Dudley when the attack happened.

Yasir was with his cousin Morrad Hussain - who was the intended target - outside the takeaway when their car was rammed by a van.

CCTV captured seven men, armed with blades and metal bars, exiting a van. Morrad managed to flee on foot but the attackers caught Yasir and he was stabbed in the back.
