Two bailed after Wolverhampton machete attack
Two people arrested after reports of a machete attack in Wolverhampton have been bailed.
Officers were called to Showell Road in Low Hill just after 6pm on Friday to reports of a man being attacked with a machete.
One man suffered minor hand injuries during the incident.
A 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested after a replica gun was found in a car at the scene.
Police said earlier today that they had now been bailed until December 23.
West Midlands Police are still investigating and have asked for anyone with information to come forward by calling 101.
A spokesman for the force said at the time: "Police were called just after 6pm yesterday to Showell Road, Wolverhampton, to reports that a man was being attacked with a machete and a car was damaged.
"A 29-year-old man and a woman aged 31 were arrested after an imitation firearm was recovered from a car at the scene.
"One man suffered minor hand injuries, and the investigation continues."
