Man stabbed near Perry Barr train station

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed near Perry Barr train station.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was attacked just before 6.40pm yesterday.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Officers are investigating and appealing for anyone with information to come forward by calling 101.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to Perry Barr train station just before 6.40pm yesterday to reports that a man had been stabbed nearby.

"The victim, in his 20s, has been taken to hospital. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"Anyone with information has been asked to contact officers via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk, via 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
