Woman has bank cards stolen in Asda distraction theft

A woman had her bank cards stolen in a distraction theft in Cannock.

The victim was distracted by one man in Asda's car park in Avon Road, who asked for directions while a second man took the bank cards from her purse which was in her car.

They were last seen leaving the car park at about 1pm on November 20.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Please be observant and always keep your valuables secure in a bag that closed and held in front of you.

"Purse bells are a good deterrent and available from Cannock Police Station or from Cannock Council offices.

"If you have any information regarding this incident please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting 0333 22/11/19."
