Two charged with robbery after raid on shop

Two people have been charged with robbery after a shop worker was pushed to the ground in a raid.

Cigarettes and cash were stolen from Kaur News in Walsall Road, Darlaston, on October 27 at about 4.40pm.

Officers arrested four people at the time, and now two have been charged with robbery.

Tino Wellington, aged 21, of Darlaston Road, in Walsall, appeared at Walsall Magistrates' Court on October 29 charged with robbery.

A17-year-old appeared at the same court on October 29, also faces robbery charges.

A 16-year-old was charged with receiving stolen goods and bailed to appear at Wolverhampton Youth Court on November 27.

And a 15-year-old was released without charge.

Kaur News declined to comment on the incident at the time – but a worker confirmed to the Express & Star that everyone involved was ok.
