Police warn after attempted burglaries in Wombourne
Police have warned residents to be vigilant after two front doors were damaged during attempted burglaries.
Door handles of two Wombourne properties, one in Billy Buns Lane and one in Rookery Road, were broken during the attempted break-ins on Monday morning at around 4am.
However in each incident, the suspects fled the scene after being disturbed by the occupants.
Staffordshire Police believe the same culprits targeted both addresses. Officers have been appealed for any eyewitnesses or anyone with information to contact police.
PSCO Louise Jones said: "The offenders managed to jemmy part of the casings of the handles off to expose the lock barrel.
"Anyone in these two streets with any CCTV please check it for around 4am and let us know if you saw anything suspicious."
