The thieves got into a back garden in Springhill Park, Lower Penn, before forcing open a window on the second floor by standing on the roof of the conservatory.
They then made an "untidy search" of the house before stealing, cash, jewellery and fleeing from the scene.
The burglary happened between 6pm and 8pm on Monday.
A short time later another burglary took place in Oxbarn Ave, Bradmore, which police have said may be connected.
