Appeal as man seriously injured in West Bromwich hit-and-run
A 58-year-old man has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run in West Bromwich.
He was struck by a silver car as he crossed Dudley Street, near the Shell petrol station, at around 12.25am on Sunday.
West Midlands Police is appealing for information after the driver failed to stop.
A force spokesman said: "He was left with multiple injuries and remains in hospital today."
Officers have been looking at CCTV footage from near the scene of what was the third serious crash involving a pedestrian in the Black Country in three days.
A 19-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was hit by an Audi in Wolverhampton on Friday, while a middle-aged man was critically injured when he was hit by a double-decker bus in Sedgley on Saturday.
