Assault charges after two people and police officer attacked in Tipton street
Two men have been charged after two people and a police officer were assaulted.
Officers were called to an incident in Oval Road, Tipton, shortly after 9pm on Friday.
A 56-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man had suffered minor facial injuries for which both received treatment.
The police officer also only sustained a minor facial injury.
West Midlands Police confirmed two men have now been charged in connection with the incident.
Gareth Coleman, aged 37, of Oval Road, was charged with four assault offences and was remanded on bail.
Mark Coleman, aged 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with assault of an emergency worker and bailed to appear before Dudley Magistrates' Court on September 19.
Coleman will also appear at court on the same date.
