Michael Skeldon is back in prison

Michael Skeldon struck at a house in Aldersley Road in Aldersley, Wolverhampton, on July 2 while the occupants of the house were out.

The 42-year-old unscrewed the hinges of the garden shed and stole a lawn mower, power drill, circular saw and angle grinder.

He also got into the house through a window and escaped with up to £600 cash that had been saved by the family who lived there.

Loose change littered the floor after he broke a container holding the cash and left his fingerprints on a window frame. He was arrested on July 24.

Mr Grudeep Garcha, prosecuting, said the 42-year-old was dogged by a heroin habit and explained: "It has been a major factor in his life for 20 years and has ruined it. The sentences get longer but he is now determined to end his addiction."

Skeldon, from Rudge Avenue in Eastfield, Wolverhampton, admitted burglary and theft. He was jailed for two and a half years.
