Ram-raiders on the loose after 4x4 driven through Co-Op window
A police investigation is underway after thieves drove a 4x4 through a Co-op store and stole £300 worth of alcohol.
Five people took part in the ram raid at the Bloxwich store, on Lichfield Road, at 3.15am on Sunday.
It is believed the crooks left after an anti-theft smoke device kicked in. The store, which was damaged after the break-in, has since reopened.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "It’s understood five suspects drove a 4x4 into the window of the Lichfield Road branch at around 3.15am.
"The group managed to get away with more than £300 worth of alcohol."
