Man stabbed to death in Birmingham street disorder - with VIDEO

A man was stabbed to death and four others were injured in an incident in a Birmingham street.

Police were called to reports of disorder involving men understood to be known to each other at an address in Wilton Road, Sparkhill, just after 10.40pm on Friday.

A 37-year-old man was discovered in the street with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, aged 35, was found in the property with serious stab wounds and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The three other men, two in their 30s and one in their 40s, suffered injuries which were not serious.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and will be questioned in due course.

Detective Inspector Nick Barnes, from West Midlands Police's homicide team, said: "A man has tragically died and others have been injured as a result of this disorder.

"We understand all the men are known to each other and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death at this stage.

"Enquiries around the circumstances leading to this disorder are ongoing and I would ask anyone with information which can assist these to get in contact."
