Motorcyclist killed in crash near Great Barr 'was riding stolen bike'
A man killed in a crash near Great Barr was riding a motorbike believed to have been stolen, police have confirmed.
The 19-year-old died after a crash between the bike he was riding and a car on Beacon Road, close to Barr Beacon, at around 7.45pm last Thursday.
The collision happened next to Barr Beacon School, around a mile away from where a 31-year-old man was pushed off his motorbike and attacked by a group of men at Barr Beacon Park around 15 minutes earlier.
The bike involved in the crash was the same bike involved in the incident in the park, West Midlands Police said.
Three suspects have now appeared before magistrates charged with robbery and have been released on bail ahead of the next hearing.
A police spokeswoman said: "Three people have been charged with robbery after a 31-year-old motorcyclist was pushed off his bike and attacked by a group of men at Barr Beacon Park at around 7.30pm on June 27.
"A few minutes later, the bike was involved in a fatal collision with a car on Beacon Road, Pheasey.
"The rider, aged 19, died at the scene.
"The three men charged with robbery appeared before magistrates on Saturday and were released on bail ahead of the next hearing.
"They are Aaron Dhaliwal, 20, of Himley Road, Dudley; Nirvair Lall, 20, of Amberley Green, and Inderjot Singh, of Brookside, Great Barr, also aged 20."
The 19-year-old, who has not yet been named, was found in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead at the scene despite an off-duty nurse performing CPR before ambulance crews arrived.
