Thieves steal benches in Lichfield
Thieves who stole a food festival's 12 benches have been urged to "do the right thing" and return them.
Lichfield Food Festival posted on Facebook yesterday appealing for the thieves to bring the seats back.
A spokesman for the festival said: "To the thieving toe rags that decided to pinch 12 of our picnic benches, I hope your smiling from ear to ear and feeling happy about yourself.
"These benches weren’t just for the visitors to Grub Club, but we also donate them/drop them off free of charge to the following events in Lichfield and surrounding areas – Lichfield Fuse, Lichfield Art, BID Events, Lichfield Food Festival, Tamworth Cricket Grub."
The spokesman went on to say that either they drop them back off where they stole them, or they will publish the registration plate of the vehicle that stole them.
