Drug driving suspect arrested after Dudley car crash

A man was arrested on suspicion drug driving following a car crash in Dudley.

Emergency services were called after a Mercedes and a Hyundai crashed, in Watsons Green Road, in the Kates Hill area.

Four parked cars were also damaged during the collision.

Officers and ambulance staff all turned out to the scene – along with 10 firefighters from fire engines from Tipton and Dudley.

The driver of the Hyundai was left with cuts to his hands and knees, but was not seriously hurt.

No-one suffered major injuries, a spokeswoman for the fire service confirmed.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The 21-year-old Mercedes driver, from Dudley, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs."
