Wanted man arrested after security guard spiked with needle
A man, who was wanted, after a security guard was spiked with a needle, has been arrested.
James Manison, of Short Street, Brownhills, was sought by police after failing to appear at court for two offences.
He was charged with threatening behaviour after an incident at 4pm on May 2 in Bradford Street, Walsall, for an alleged altercation with a security guard, resulting in the guard being spiked on the arm by a needle.
The guard is believed to have suffered minor injuries.
Manison was due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on May 31 but never appeared.
In a separate incident Manison was arrested and charged on May 4, just after 6pm, for allegedly stealing two bottles of prosecco from a Co-op store Burntwood, and for theft after allegedly finding an ID card in Burntwood.
He was charged with two counts of theft and due to appear at Stafford Magistrates' Court on May 8 but again didn't appear.
Two warrants were issued for his arrest and he was finally detained today on Brownhills High Street at 11am.
The 34-year-old was due to appear at Dudley Magistrates' today for both offences.
He has been released on conditional bail for both and will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on June 11 for the Walsall incident, and at Cannock Magistrates' Court on June 26 for the Burntwood incident.
