Car smashes into Tipton home
A woman was shocked but unhurt after a car crashed into the front of her Tipton home.
A black Audi smashed into the house in Tividale Street yesterday at about 3.30pm – but those inside the vehicle fled the scene.
Fire crews from Tipton and Dudley cleared the wreckage and treated a woman for shock.
A spokesman said: "Fire crews attended an RTC incident on Tividale Street in Tipton at 3.30pm to reports of a car in collision with the front of a semi-detached house.
"The vehicle's passengers had absconded the scene. The property sustained structural damage.
"One woman, the home occupant, received a precautionary check for shock. Crews from Tipton, Dudley and technical rescue attended along with West Midlands Police."
West Midlands Police are also investigating the crash.
