Elderly woman followed into Cannock home by thief
An elderly woman was followed into her home in Cannock late at night and had her purse stolen.
An unknown woman followed the victim into the house on Lilac Avenue at about 10.10pm on Wednesday.
Her purse was stolen which included about £70 in cash and bank cards.
Staffordshire Police have asked for anyone who may have CCTV in the area to come forward.
A spokesman for the force said: "We received a report of an unknown female following an elderly lady into her property on Lilac Avenue in Cannock, and stealing a purse. The purse contained £70 and bank cards.
"The incident happened around 22:10 hours. If anyone has CCTV in the area, or has any information regarding this incident please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 747 of May 29."
