'He landed on the crossing': Father suffers horrific injuries in Stourbridge hit-and-run
A father was left with horrific injuries after being left for dead by a hit-and-run driver in the Black Country.
Dom Allan was mowed down after stepping out of a taxi outside his home in Stourbridge.
He was thrown 8ft into the air and left with a smashed skull, broken vertebrae, broken knee and a fractured eye socket.
His wife Becky has now released graphic images showing the extent of the 36-year-old's injuries.

Mr Allan, who is a nurse, had been out with a friend when he got out of a taxi outside his house on Brook Road, Oldswinford, at 12.30am on May 12.
He was left lying in the road and put in intensive care as police hunted for the driver.
Mrs Allan, who has two children Amelia, aged three, and Elliott, one, said: "Dom had gone out for a drink with his friend and had got a taxi home.
"He got out on the road side after his friend said it was clear and literally moments later he was struck by a speeding car.
"His friend said there was a huge bang and Dom was sent flying.
"He landed on the pedestrian crossing outside our front door and was bleeding all over our front step.
"One of my neighbours knocked on my door and told me to get my belongings because Dom had been in an accident.
"I was shaking and couldn't even put my shoes on. I just thought the worse.
"I couldn't believe he had been so close to our home - there was blood all over the front doorstep. I was in bits."
'He could have been dead'
Mr Allan was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he underwent surgery for a bleed on the brain.
He is expected to make a full recovery but doctors say it could take six months.
Mrs Allan, who works in a care home, added: "It's just disgusting that someone can do this. He could have been left for dead - he could have been dead. That car hasn't stopped.
"He doesn't have a clue what's happening - it's just terrible.
"The trauma that this has put my family through, not only my family but my friends, everyone - it's all disruptive."
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police are continuing to investigate after a man in his 30s was injured after getting out of a taxi on Brook Road in Oldswinford in Stourbridge just before 1am on 12 May.
"It is thought that he was struck by a car which failed to stop at the scene. Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
