Man charged with dangerous driving after pedestrian injured in West Bromwich
A 28-year-old man has been charged by police after a woman was hit by a car while walking along a pavement in West Bromwich.
The 59-year-old pedestrian suffered a serious injury to her leg and was taken to hospital following the collision on Great Bridge Street at around 8.20am on Thursday.
Aldo Turja, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
He appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court this morning and was remanded into custody to appear Wolverhampton crown court on June 14.
