Man pleads guilty to wounding after PC hit by his car in Stafford
A man who pleaded guilty to wounding after a police officer was hit by his car in Stafford will be sentenced next month.
Gurajdeep Malhi, of Charnley Road, was due to stand trial for possession with intent to supply cocaine today when a guilty plea was entered for the drugs offence at Stafford Crown Court.
The 26-year-old had already pleaded guilty in an appearance on November 2018 to grievous bodily harm of PC Claire Bond with intent to resist arrest on September 23.
He also pleaded guilty to driving dangerously in and around Stafford, driving whilst disqualified in Corporation Street, Stafford, and driving without insurance and failing to stop.
He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on June 17.
His co-accused, Lucy Maria Bullmore, 31, of Morton Road, Stafford, pleaded guilty to driving a Range Rover Evoque dangerously in Stafford on the same day and failing to provide a specimen for breath analysis and failing to stop.
She has unconditional bail and will also be sentenced on June 17.
