Man robbed at knifepoint in Smethwick

Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was robbed at knifepoint.

The victim was targeted by two youths on Coopers Lane, Smethwick, who snatched his phone, wallet and chain.

Officers said the man, in his late 30s, was followed after being dropped off by a colleague just before midnight on Tuesday, April 23. He was attacked near Crocketts Community Primary School.

West Midlands Police is appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

The victim was pushed up a wall and had a knife put to his neck by the robbers who demanded he hand everything over.

The youths, one who was described as white with an eastern European accent and the other mixed race, pulled the chain from round his neck, took his wallet and phone and ran off.
