Man robbed after altercation on train from Walsall

A man was robbed and assaulted, after an altercation on a train travelling from Walsall.

The victim also had his personal property stolen as he travelled on the train between Walsall and Birmingham New Street.

The robbery unfolded between 10.40pm and 11pm on March 5.

British Transport Police officers have now released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to as part of their investigation.

A spokesman said: "Officers investigating a robbery on board a train are releasing CCTV images in connection.

"On March 5, between 10.40pm and 11pm, a man had a verbal altercation with two men on the 10.40pm train from Walsall to Birmingham New Street.

"The man was chased through the train and assaulted, before having personal property stolen from his pockets. The men then left the train at Birmingham New Street.

"Officers believe the men in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation."
