Fresh appeal launched over Walsall sex assault a year ago
A fresh appeal has been launched a year after a woman was sexually assaulted outside a Walsall nightclub.
Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to after the incident which happened outside the Colliseum nightclub in Bradford Street, at 6am on March 18.
The woman, 19, was waiting for a taxi when she was tricked into a Vauxhall Corsa by two Asian men.
She was driven a short distance away, and sexually assaulted in the back of the car. She tried to fend off her attacker, and managed to get out of the car by telling them she felt sick.
Once out of the vehicle, the teenager contacted her partner and the police.
An investigation has been ongoing since the offence was reported. One man has been arrested and interviewed on suspicion of sexual assault.
But police have been unable to identify the second suspect.
Officers have now released a CCTV of the second suspect and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Investigating officer DC Tonks said: "This is a horrendous crime. A young woman was trying to get home after a night out.
"These men posed as good Samaritans but instead she was subjected to an assault. She is still traumatised a year on. This man needs to be identified."
