Two teenagers arrested in Keelan Wilson murder investigation
Two further teenagers have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Wolverhampton teenager Keelan Wilson.
The pair, aged 17 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, and will be questioned later today.
A 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, has now been released pending further investigation.
Keelan, 15, was stabbed to death just yards from his home by an armed group of masked attackers. He was ambushed while he was tending to a broken-down car at around 11pm on May 29 last year, in Strathfield Walk in the Merry Hill area of Wolverhampton.
In ten months since Keelan's murder, six other teenagers – aged 14, 15, 16, 17, 16 and 16 – have been arrested in connection with his murder and have all been released pending further investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, from West Midlands Police's homicide unit, said: "These arrests are a further key development in our investigation.
“My dedicated team of detectives continues its efforts to get answers for Keelan’s family and bring those responsible for his death to justice."
A West Midlands Police spokesman said that officers were called to Langley Road, at around 11pm on May 29, 2018. Sadly, Keelan died from stab wounds.
