During the first theft, offenders forced open a garage door to steal a mountain bike in Croydon Drive, on April 7.

The bike has been described as a Whyte mountain bike G150 full suspension in the colours black, lime green and teal.

While on the same day, thieves have broken into a garden shed and stolen an orange and black Boardman Team bike, in Manorfield Close.

The details were published to residents in the area through Staffordshire Smart Alerts.

It read: "Reported on April 7, the theft of a mountain bike from a garage in Croydon Drive. Unknown offenders have used force to break in to the garage and steal a Whyte mountain bike G150 full suspension black, lime green and teal in colour.

"Another bike theft was reported in Manorfield Close on April 7, where unknown offenders have been into a garden shed and taken a Boardman Team orange/black colour.

"Any information on the two incidents then call Staffordshire Police."

Staffordshire Police said there were also further reports of a group of four offenders trying van doors in Croydon Drive and an attempted van break-in in Princefield Avenue – but neither were reported to officers.

Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call Staffordshire Police officers on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
