150 cannabis plants found at Black Country property

Police seized more than 150 plants after raiding a cannabis factory in the Black Country.

The plants were discovered at the back of a residential property in Neachells Lane, Wednesfield, last night.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police discovered a cannabis factory with more than 150 plants at an address in Neachells Lane, Wednesfield, around 4.45pm yesterday (Monday 1 April).

"Enquiries are on-going and anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Quote crime reference number 20SW/74068U/19."

Wednesfield Police shared photographs of the factory where dozens of plants were found packed inside the building.

The police station tweeted: "We discovered this cannabis factory in a large outbuilding in the rear of a residential property on Neachells Lane.

"About 100 plants will be seized and destroyed. This type of setup usually goes on funds greater and more serious organised crime."
