WATCH: Range Rover stolen from driveway in less than 30 seconds
This was the moment a hooded thief stole a Range Rover from a driveway in Burntwood.
CCTV images show how the crook took the bronze and gold Evoque Dynamic, worth £24,000 new, from a house on Howdle Road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Watch the moment the car was stolen:
The thief made off with the car in less than 30 seconds, despite the owner having the smart keys in a Faraday bag, designed to keep keyless cars safe.
Mother-of-two Keri Yates woke up to go to work as a HGV driver when she saw that her 'pride and joy' had been stolen.
The 45-year-old said: "My car keys are always in the Faraday bag, with my spares too.
"We work long hours and work hard, I'm a lorry drive by trade and get up at 4am every morning.
"I don't care who it is that's taken it, but it's my pride and joy, it's taken years for me to get it.
"We haven't even lived here for 12 months yet, I lived in Blakenhall for 22 years and never had any problems.
"I'm shocked, it's meant to be a nice area.
"The police are doing very little, what can I do?
"My car is in front of seven houses and lights and the thief walked near the house and was looking around for five minutes before he took the car.
"I think they have targeted the car and may have been watching it."
The 2014 model, which Keri has owned for eight months, has a personalised numberplate, which reads K4 RWY.
Keri posted the CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook in an attempt to try and get her car back, but she's not holding out much hope.
She added: "I have no hope of seeing my car again but by putting it out there for people to see we may find it.
"It's distinctive so hopefully people will see it, but I expect my personalised plate will have been taken off by now.
"I say to people that if you see something that doesn't look right then report it, I want my car back.
"They have taken away everything we work hard for, all we had was the car."
The latest keyless car theft comes after West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson called for a new law to force car companies to meet a minimum standard of security.
Despite the move, Keri says it's hard to trust new cars again.
She said: "I don't want a new car now, I don't trust them, I want an old car."
Spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police, Charlotte Slaney, said: "We were called at 4.20am on Thursday to a report of a theft of a vehicle from an address on Howdle Road in Burntwood.
"A bronze Range Rover Evoque was stolen, without keys, at around 1.45am.
"An investigation is on-going, and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident number 0045 of March 21."
