Seven arrests after man knocked down near Wolverhampton
Seven people have been arrested after a man was left with life-changing injuries after being knocked down near Wolverhampton.
The 22-year-old was struck in Paradise Lane, Slade Heath, near Featherstone, at around noon on Monday.
Staffordshire Police were called to a report of a white pick-up truck which had been in collision with a man, whose own white van was stolen shortly before.
Three men aged 27, 40 and 18, and three women aged, 30, 33 and 17, all from Walsall, have been arrested and are helping with inquiries. They remain in custody.
A 59-year-old woman from Walsall was also arrested and has since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
Police confirmed that the victim was in a stable condition on Wednesday.
Detective Sergeant Ian Whitehouse, from force CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this serious incident and would continue to ask the public to come forward with information."
