Arrests made after tractors stolen
A man from Walsall was among four people arrested in connection with a number of tractors being stolen this year.
Staffordshire Police executed a number of warrants and arrested four men yesterday morning in connection with the thefts.
Warrants were executed at three addresses in Walsall, Leicestershire, and Warwickshire from around 6am following an investigation after six tractors worth more than £100,000 were taken from Yoxall in sometime between January 18 and 20.
Following a search at a farm near Stapleton in Leicestershire, two types of plant equipment, believed to have been stolen from Coven in 2017, and a trailer believed to have been stolen from Nottinghamshire in 2013, were seized.
A 22-year-old man from Walsall and a 44-year-old man from Warwickshire were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary, a 36-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 32-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
They have since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
