Car ploughs through bus stop and into tree in Coseley crash
A bus shelter was destroyed after a car ploughed into it before hitting a tree in Coseley.
Dramatic pictures of the aftermath of the crash show the remains of the bus stop spread across the grass verge in Hurst Road.
Onlookers were stunned when the silver car left the road, crashed through the bus shelter and into a nearby tree at around 5pm on Saturday.
Despite the wreckage, no one was injured in the crash.
Witnesses reported seeing several young people running away from the scene.
West Midlands Police has confirmed it is investigating the crash and said two girls were assisting officers with their enquiries.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police are investigating a collision on Hurst Road in the Coseley area of Dudley just before 4pm yesterday where a car went into a bus stop.
"Fortunately there were no injuries and two girls spoken to at the scene are assisting police with enquiries."
